News & Updates (only the most current news & updates are kept, older posed are deleted)
8/25/14 - We have started on the Color Chart section of the site, each pattern will have it's own page, pages are as follows Solid Base Colors, Pinto, Appaloosa & Pintaloosa.
4/24/14 - We have redone our site a little, Breed standards for all breeds can now be found on a single page, since most of our breeds have allowable outcrosses and their conformations varies we have simplify the conformation standards for you to understand better, while trying to keep as much of the necessary information as possible.
Also we have talked it over with the S3BA admin and have been given the go ahead or asked to add the following breeds:
Thoroughbred, Akhal-Teke & Pintaloosa (a Custom Crossbred Breed), we where only looking to take on the TB and Akhal but it was felt that since we host both the APH and the Appaloosa breed registries that it made since to have the Pintaloosa registry hosted by the same host since both of our registries are intricate in the continuation of the pintaloosa breed, and We were happy to oblige.
The Pintaloosa is a Custom breed created by a former S3BA member when she left the community the registry and breed that she created was left without any supporters. The Pintaloosa Breed is supposed to be the result of crossing purebred registered Appaloosas with purebred Registered Paints, we have gone ahead and amended the restrictions to include the Quarter Horse who possesses both Appaloosa & Pinto patterning as well as the ideal conformation, The Appendix Quarter which seemed like a logical addition since all three breeds carry TB bloodlines and the Appaloosa & Paint accept Half TB foals to be registered, and the Quarter Pony since any Appaloosa, APH or QH who falls short of the height restrictions are what the Quarter Pony Registry was formed for. Also remember that most APHs and Appaloosas can be registered as Quarter Horses with Echo Valley, and that Any TB/APH foals and TB/Appaloosa foals can be registered with Echo Valley as Appendix Quarters. And that APHs & Appaloosas between 14-14.2hh can also be registered as Quarter Ponies with Echo Valley, APHs & Appaloosas under 14hh fall short of the height limits for their registries and must be registered with Echo Valley as Quarter Ponies.
